#thewallsofjerichowillcomedown – Smoke Signals

Joshua 8:20 depicts the army of Ai standing in confusion as they turned around while thinking they were pursuing their COI, only to realize when they looked back, they saw their city up in smoke. In that moment, they were frozen, unable to move, in shock at how this could happen.

Perhaps it’s hard to believe, but you have the capability to stop the enemy dead in his tracts. Yep, you can confuse his position and cause him to be still, unable to pursue you any further. It’s a weapon that many have, but rarely use to its full capacity. The smoke of this weapon is known to send the enemy fleeing into the wilderness.

What weapon is this you ask? This weapon is called PRAYER. It is one of the greatest weapons that God has given to us. It gives us direct access to the THROWN of God. With it, we can defeat the toughest of enemies, without swinging one sword. It has subdued armies, and brought down entire kingdoms. Set fire the most wicked of plans, and delivered folks from the very chains of death.

Today, as you walk toward your enemies, perhaps at your job, or school. Maybe in your grocery store, or as your visit from place to place. As you are on the road, in your home even, or maybe your greatest enemy is your self. Remember, you can confuse the enemy by sending up smoke signals.

Take time to pray today, and you will find, the smoke that surrounds you from prayer, can and will keep you so covered that the enemy simply won’t be able to find you. Confused and bewilder, frozen by that wall of prayer, he will have no choice but to flee.

Deuteronomy 28:7, “The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

Revelation 8:4, “The smoke coming from the incense, along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.”
