Roller Coaster Ride Part 2 – Single Ladies
So you’ve decided to get “OFF” the Roller Coaster Ride! Feeling kind of dizzy I know. But you are assured to get your balance back soon. However, I won’t lie to you, it will take some adjusting to this whole, “CHANGE of PACE”.
You’ve been coming to this place for years! So it’s only expected to be a challenge to break away from habit. In fact, it was kind of a tradition. Your parents went to the park of “SELF DECEPTION” when they were youngsters. Your grandparents even went, and it’s been passed down from generation to generation. But, make sure when you WALK out the park to turn in your, “LIFE TIME MEMBERSHIP“. Ask them to BURN IT! This is one gift you don’t want to give to your children.
So, first things first….you’ve got to, 1. LEAVE THE PARK! If you are not going to leave the park, then I can almost guarantee that you will be back on those rides in no time.
Revelation 18:4, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Comeout of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues/Sickness.”
Walking will feel abnormal, even painful at first. You will also feel strange, kind of out-of-place. However, your focus will change soon and you won’t have the desire to play those games and ride those coasters any more. 2. CHANGE YOUR FOCUS!
I Corinthians 13:11, ” When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Once in your car, don’t look back! While you are leaving the park of “SELF DECEPTION“, if you look through the rear view mirror, the objects in the mirror seem closer than they really are. It will FOOL YOU into thinking you can never get away. But, you have to keep your eyes fixed/focused on the road AHEAD. 3. DON’T LOOK BACK.
Isaiah 50:7, “But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.”
Deuteronomy 5:32, “Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.”
Looking back makes you long for what you thought was there. Then you start remembering the “GOOD TIMES“, that really weren’t so good. Hence, why they call it the park of, “SELF DECEPTION“.
Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
Some who have left, end up dabbling a little in the idea of returning just for one more go round. “One time won’t hurt, right?”, but just when you take that turn, you end up loosing everything and never able to be found again…could remain lost in the park forever. 4. DON’T DABBLE
Genesis 19:26, “But Lot’s wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.“
Some of those you call friends may still attend the park and seem to be very happy doing so. But have you ever noticed the stench from their clothes, or the stains they wear, never looking clean or refreshed. Only where a smile for a short while, as you had in times past. You can see them more clearly the farther away you get from the park of ,”SELF DECEPTION“. You had never paid much attention until now! 5. BE HONEST ABOUT WHAT YOU SEE!
Galatians 6:7, “Be not DECEIVED, GOD is not Mocked; for WHATEVER a man sows, that shall he also Reap.“.
They often post pics of them on the rides, seeming to have so much fun. You begin to yearn to be with them. But truly a picture is NOT worth a thousand words, but rather a few guesses. Things are not always what they appear! 6. RUN AWAY FROM TEMPTATION
Psalms 1:1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
I Corinthians 10:13, “There had no temptation taken you but such as is COMMON to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of ESCAPE, that you may be ABLE TO BEAR it.”
Lastly, you can leave the park of “SELF DECEPTION“, but where are you going? There is this place I know called, “SEE CLEARLY“. It’s a resort of sorts. I was invited there many years ago, and found it to be a place of PEACE & REST! The admission is FREE, and you can invite as many people as you’d like! No limit! I no longer worry about leaving broke! In fact, I have never left! I no longer worry of the sick feeling, and the stench I once carried and offending those around me by the smell from my own mess. Here, I bath in the SON and its healing rays. I enjoy relaxing by the ocean, and drinking my favorite drink called, “MADE UP MIND” it flows freely to everyone who enters THIRSTY! I invite you to come and join me here. I promise, once you arrive, you will never want to leave! 7. SURRENDER YOUR WILL.
Psalms 27:14, “WAIT on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: WAIT, I say, on the Lord.”
